Go Further with Ford Night

Ford dealers throughout the country presented "Go Further with Ford Night - a spectacular, one-night-only fundraising event that benefited The Peoria Children's Home, engaged customers in a unique American Idol experience, and offered them a personal introduction to the all-new Ford Fusion at Green's Finish Line Ford.

For each person who visited Green's Finish Line Ford, we donated $10- up to a total of $500 - to the Peoria Children's Home. While at Green's Finish Line Ford, consumers had a unique opportunity to compete to win a special VIP experience with America Idol. A computer with a webcam was set up to allow customers to view a special message from Ryan Seacrest and tested their judging skills on camera, in true American Idol style.

We had a great turn out to the event and were able to present the Peoria Children's Home with a donation of the check as well as a large supply of diapers and formula. The Children's Home has been in operation for over 150 years. They are dedicated to improving the lives of children with special needs. Their mission is to give children a childhood and future by protecting them, teaching them and healing them, and by building strong communities and loving families.

Maui Jim's 9th Annual Maka Maka Fun Run was a 3-mile run/1.5-mile walk that kicked off at 4:00pm on Thursday, August 16th, 2012. Green Finish Line Ford, the Big Ford Store, hosted the location of the event as the rains were on and off all day long. Thankfully with a showroom large enough to house 250+ pre-owned vehicles, there was plenty of room out of the rain for all of the runners, walkers, and supports to gather for a festive time at the Post Race Party. Everyone enjoyed Double A's pizza, beverages, a raffle, silent auction, and a concert from the band Mike & Joe. All proceeds went to the Peoria Friendship House, which has been providing relief, respect, and renewal to Peoria's most vulnerable individuals and families in the near North side of Peoria for over 60 years.

On Monday, August 27th, 2012, Mt Hawley Country Club and the Country Club of Peoria hosted the 4th Annual Tee It Up For The Troops golf outing in Peoria, IL. Along with many other sponsors, Green Finish Line Ford displayed 2012 Ford Five Hundreds, Fusions, and Focuses at different locations along the course. The hole-In-One prize was a brand new 2012 Focus.

Tee It Up For The Troops is a non-profit organization. It was established in 2005 and since then over $1,000,000 has been raised and donated to military family support programs across the country. In Peoria, in particular, the goal was to raise money for the Wounded Warriors, for Families of Servicemen and women of Central Illinois, and to establish 10 Scholarships for the Children of Fallen Soldiers from Central Illinois or to further the education of a Disabled Solider.
